| Dr. Schwindt is a board certified Pediatrician and Allergist & Immunologist. She has a special interest in asthma, exercise-induced asthma/anaphylaxis and food allergic disorders. She also specializes in the treatment of eczema. Dr. Schwindt has a special interest in improving health care disparities both in Orange County and around the world. She is involved in several projects devoted to ensuring that children with asthma and allergies receive early intervention. She helped develop the Asthma Clinic in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, West Indies and asthma clinics in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam. Currently, Dr. Schwindt is leading the School Health Index project, sponsored by the Children and Families Commission of Orange County, to identify health needs of school children in Orange County. Dr. Schwindt is also involved in training UCI medical students, residents, and fellows. |
